Beastie
Following the success of our work in children's television we are currently developing a live experience for children. In this groundbreaking format small groups of children have the opportunity to become keepers for the day of a living, breathing, mythical creature, an event that confounds the adult world around them.
Each group of children create the beast’s story for themselves. They will offer the narrative, giving it a home in nearby woods, be they urban or rural. The beast is a story telling device; where was it born, what does it eat, where does it hide, what does it do all day, what makes it happy, where are its parents, why does it run in circles, is it happy or sad, can it really sleep standing up, did it really just break wind?
The piece can be tailored to many contexts – theatre venues, arts festivals, schools, civic events etc. And can run from anything from 1 day to 1 month and beyond.
